Carrot Chapatti

Carrot Chapatti is a very healthy & easy to make chapatti, which you can indulge on a regular basis. The addition of the masala powders in this recipe, gives the chapatti added aroma and flavour. It is optional to use these powders.

Ingredients:
Carrot – ½ Cup, finely grated
Jeera – ½ tsp
G. Chillies – 2, Finely chopped
Coriander Powder – ½ Tsp
Tumeric Powder – ½ Tsp
Salt – 1 tsp
Oil – 1 tsp
Wheat Flour (Atta) – 2 Cups
Water – 1 Cup

Method:

1.       Take the wheat flour into a broad bowl and add to it, the grated carrot, jeera, finely chopped green chillies, coriander powder, and turmeric powder, salt & Mix well.

2.       Add water little by little and knead into soft dough, which is neither too watery nor too thick.

3.       Add a teaspoon of oil and beat the dough well and rest aside for 10-15 minutes.

4.       Make equal size balls out of the dough and roll them like normal chappati.

5.       Heat the non-stick tava, place one chapathi on it, and wait till small brown spots appear, then turn the chapatti around and repeat the same.

6.       Spread little oil over the chapathi and toss it around and do the same on the other side. Cook the chapatti until even brown spots appear on both the sides.

7.       Serve with any side dish.
